well the hook things are on!
not what i expected at all and i duno why ive got them on so soon i could of got them on a week before surgery!!
anyway i look shit lol! its like 4 long bits of metal on the top and bottom with wee balls at the end so they use this to tie my mouth up!
starting to get nervous now! i got more scans moulds and xrays last time too so when i see the surgeon in 2 weeks time we will finalise what im getting done!
wish it was feb already and the braces were off! this really is a waiting game!

well its 4 months till my big op (nov 20th)
My wisdoms werent too bad to get out, i would reccomend getting the IV injection rather than a local or the full anestetic. i took a week off work to recover, this may sound silly but i needed it as ive a physical job ( decorator) .
My braces were tighetened today and the wire replaced with a thicker one, this really hurt if im being honest! ive no extra bands on the top, only the bottom which are straightening out nicely since the removal of 2 teeth in nov.
Ive had more xrays to check the roots of my teeth are sufficent to keep the braces on for a few months after the op!
to be honest i dont see much difference with my top teeth. Id rather get the op now so the braces are less noticeable. I think the next few months are going to drag. all this waiting and discomfort when the braces are tightened!
Its important to keep busy and get out there with friends and family. Having braces in you late 20s can be very uncomfortable and bring you down abit. but at the end of the day this is what you want and in the long run you will be happier.
My weight gain is steady, im 8stone now. thats 9lbs more than this time last year. Id like to get up to 8.5stone by November as i know ill loose weight after the op!

Top Braces on and 3 wisdom teeth to come out
well the top braces are on, and i look 15 again! im hoping to get a half on the train this afternoon to Edinburgh and save £6! - gotta have some benefits huh?
its been a week now and im just managing harder foods, so please prepare with soup and soft puddings :)
Im also getting my remainder 3 wisdom teeth out on monday! i had one out before and it hurt!! However, im not going under general just a local with extra meds to knock me out abit! my wisdoms are totally squint and will be useless once my jaw is moved forward, so may as well whip them out!
My bottom teeth have moved dramatically since Nov. Extra bands are in place to pull them along and the gaps where the 2 bottom teeth were removed dont exist anymore! it looks less crowded and more straight now!
